Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last Updated: April, 2026
At Chia Health ("Chia," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Zerolimit Tech LLC, we are committed to transparency in our billing practices. This policy outlines the terms governing refunds, cancellations, and returns for our telehealth subscription service.
1. Subscription Overview
Chia offers subscription plans that include access to licensed telehealth consultations, AI-powered health coaching, ongoing care coordination, and medication fulfillment for eligible patients. We offer both month-to-month subscriptions and committed multi-month plans (3, 4, and 6 months). Month-to-month subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe. Committed multi-month plans are paid upfront at a discounted rate that reflects your commitment to the full treatment course. You may cancel at any time subject to the terms below.
2. Refund Eligibility
Before Provider Review: If you enroll and a licensed provider has not yet reviewed your medical intake or completed your clinical consultation, you are eligible for a full refund of your subscription payment. To request a refund at this stage, contact our support team before your consultation is completed.
Medical Ineligibility: If our licensed provider determines during your consultation that you are not a suitable candidate for treatment (e.g., you do not meet clinical criteria, have a contraindicated medical condition, or are otherwise ineligible), you will receive a full 100% refund of your subscription payment.
After Prescription & Fulfillment: Once a prescription has been issued by your provider and submitted to our licensed pharmacy partner for fulfillment, your subscription payment for that billing cycle is non-refundable. Due to federal and state pharmacy regulations, dispensed or shipped medications cannot be returned, restocked, or resold.
If you experience a medical issue, adverse reaction, or receive a damaged/incorrect shipment on a month-to-month subscription, please contact us immediately. We will work with you on a case-by-case basis to resolve the issue, which may include a refund, credit, or replacement at our discretion. For committed multi-month plans, see Section 3 below.
Note: The 30-day money-back guarantee offered by Chia Health applies exclusively to weight loss month-to-month subscriptions. Micro-dosing, NAD+, and longevity program subscriptions are not eligible for the money-back guarantee. Committed multi-month plans of any kind are also not eligible for the 30-day guarantee. Standard refund eligibility as described above still applies.
3. Committed Multi-Month Plans (3, 4, and 6 Months)
Our multi-month plans are offered at a significant discount compared to our standard monthly rate because they represent a committed treatment course. When you choose a 3, 4, or 6-month plan, you are pre-paying for the full course at a discounted per-month price that is only available because you are committing to the full duration.
When you can cancel a committed plan for a full refund
You are eligible for a full refund of your committed plan in any of these situations:
- Before your provider consultation — if a licensed provider has not yet reviewed your intake, you can cancel for a full refund for any reason.
- Medical ineligibility — if our provider determines during your consultation that you are not a clinically suitable candidate for treatment, you receive a full refund automatically.
- Before your first shipment — if your prescription has been approved but no medication has yet shipped, you can cancel for a full refund.
Cancellation after your first shipment
If you cancel a committed plan after your first medication has shipped, we will stop all future shipments immediately. You will not receive medication for the remaining months of your plan.
Because the discounted pricing on committed plans is contingent on completing the full treatment course, and because federal and state pharmacy regulations prohibit us from restocking or reusing medication that has already been dispensed, your refund is calculated as follows:
Refund = Amount You Paid − (Months You Received × Standard Monthly Rate)
The Standard Monthly Rate is the published price of our month-to-month plan for the same medication at the time of your purchase. This rate is disclosed to you at checkout before you complete your purchase, and is stored with your order record.
We use this formula — rather than dividing your payment by the number of months in your plan — because the per-month price on your committed plan reflects a bulk discount that is only available when you complete the full course. A committed plan is not a monthly plan sold at a discount; it is a distinct product priced around its full duration.
Worked example: You purchase a 6-month plan for $900 ($150/month committed rate). The standard monthly rate for the same medication is $399/month. After receiving 1 month of medication, you cancel. Your refund is:
$900 − (1 × $399) = $501
If the calculation results in a negative number, the refund is $0; we will not seek additional payment from you.
This formula applies regardless of the reason for cancellation — whether personal preference, a documented adverse reaction, or any other reason. For adverse reactions or contraindications documented by a licensed provider (ours or an outside physician), no additional conditions apply beyond providing that documentation.
Processing fees
We do not deduct credit card processing fees, restocking fees, or administrative fees from refunds. The amount calculated above is what you receive.
One refund per product category
The flexibility described above applies once per patient, per product category. Our product categories are:
- Weight loss (GLP-1 medications and related weight-management therapies)
- Longevity (NAD+, peptides, and related therapies)
- Women's health (hormone replacement therapy and related treatments)
- Any additional therapy line we introduce
After you have received a refund on a committed plan in a given category, subsequent committed plans in that same category are governed by the non-discretionary grounds only: pre-consultation cancellation, medical ineligibility determined by our provider, cancellation before first shipment, or documented adverse reaction or contraindication. Purchases in a different category are unaffected — you can start a plan in a new category at any time under our standard refund terms.
We also ask that patients wait 90 days before re-enrolling in a committed plan within the same category after a refund. This cooldown does not apply across categories.
Auto-renewal of committed plans
At the end of your committed plan period, your plan will automatically renew for the same duration and price unless you cancel at least five (5) days before the renewal date. For example, a 6-month plan will renew for another 6 months at the same rate. You will receive a reminder before your renewal date. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time through your Chia account dashboard, by emailing support@chia.health, or through the in-app chat. If you cancel before renewal, no further charges will apply.
4. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Chia account dashboard or by contacting our support team. Cancellation terms are as follows:
- Before next billing cycle: If you cancel before your next monthly billing date and before a new prescription has been submitted for fulfillment, no further charges will be applied.
- After billing but before shipment: If you have already been charged for the current month but your prescription has not yet been submitted to the pharmacy, you may request a full refund for that billing cycle.
- After prescription fulfillment has begun: If your prescription has already been sent to the pharmacy for the current billing cycle, the charge for that month is non-refundable. Your subscription will be canceled effective at the end of the current billing period, and no further charges will occur.
For committed multi-month plans, cancellation and refund terms are governed by Section 3 above. You may cancel at any time, but refund eligibility depends on where you are in the treatment course.
Cancellations take effect immediately for future billing cycles. You will continue to have access to the Chia platform, including health coaching and provider messaging, through the end of your current paid period.
5. Medication Returns
In accordance with federal and state pharmacy laws, prescription medications that have been dispensed and shipped cannot be returned for reuse or resale. This is an industry-wide regulation that applies to all pharmacies and is not specific to Chia.
If you receive a shipment that is damaged, contains the wrong medication, or has a quality issue, contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will coordinate with our pharmacy partner to resolve the issue promptly, which may include a replacement shipment or a refund at our discretion.
6. Billing Disputes & Chargebacks
If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact our support team before initiating a dispute with your bank or credit card provider. We are committed to resolving billing issues promptly and fairly. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in delays in resolving your issue and may affect your account status.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or cancel your subscription, you can:
- Email us at support@chia.health
- Use the cancellation option in your Chia account dashboard
- Contact our support team through the in-app chat
Refund requests are typically reviewed within 3–5 business days. Approved refunds are credited to your original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution.
For medical-reason refunds on committed multi-month plans, please include documentation from your provider — a note, chart entry, or message from a licensed physician (ours or outside) is sufficient. We do not require a specific form.
8. Accepted Payment Methods
Chia accepts all major credit and debit cards processed through Stripe. We also accept HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards. Insurance is not currently accepted.
9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Chia platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
